Along with that, I reread the manga from the beginning again and when he received the black sword from the Heavenly Demon he also said something like "Just wait and I'll show you even greater martial arts". So to answer you (and my own question from before). It was an extremely minor and 1 line out of the entire manga, but yes he does have more sword and martial techniques but hasn't showed them at all (probably because he can't get caught using sword techniques he 'hasn't learned' or shouldn't know yet.)
