Bad guys are always written really stupidly, always have to give a chance for the hero to level up (actually that's why a manga called Overly Cautious Hero is good, as well as summertime rendering)

It's honestly really nonsensical, but the author can write whatever they want to prolong the story I guess. Reminds me of bleach and all the extra villains after aizen 🙄

If Blue Giant Supreme has ass pulls like the dog and truck kun I'm not going to bother.

It was a 10/10 story, and then minus 0.5 for dog dying just so MC can compose his first song (wtf make it make sense). And minus 2 points for the cliche of "being close to the finish line and then disaster hits".
Final rating 7.5/10, eh I guess, still feeling bittersweet and angry about the last few chapters, I came into the story inspired and leaving it feeling angry instead. There are ways to launch MC's solo career without fucking over JASS' debut to the big leagues or destroying piano man's arm.

What story purpose does this serve??? To tell readers that dreams can be shattered just by bullshit like that? Is that the big message this manga is supposed to be about? It was hopeful with piano man overcoming his constraints and being free with his solos, Tamada was working hard as hell and getting better and better and recognition for his earnest sound, and MC was also steadily progressing.

Why couldn't the author keep the story wholesome and inspiring? This honestly drags the story down a few levels in my opinion, and it kind of spoils the journey up to here. Up until now we had a story that was about grit, determination, overcoming obstacles to finally make it to the big dream. Then author goes meeh needs drama. Well fuck the whole journey let's remind the readers that despite working hard and being talented, bringing something unique and sensational, we should remember none of it fucking matters cause life is bitter sweet and truck kun will end all dreams. Honestly I'm so disappointed because the manga was almost perfect, clearly the art is insane, but what a fucking ass pull, it really soured the journey here.

Honestly for the sake of drama...these writing tropes are so cliched, like how most kdramas feature some rich boy with a demon mother that disapproves of the poverty girl...just drama, hope the rest of the story pulls through, I wasn't expecting this ass pull after following such a great story (minus Barnum who was sacrificed so MC could write a song...rip 🐶)
