not that it would matter as he just HAPPENED to get one person who can survey information completely disconnected from not just his detect range but the area in general, along with someone who outranks his strongest opponent by continents.
Then he got the eye of the gods on him, the eye of the church on him, the countryfolk on him to the extent in which any abnormal actions would be taken note of instantly, he's completely stuck in a hard place from every angle.
It's not just getting around bad cards, he's getting the worst possible matchups from the getgo bro...
I'd say 40 chapters the stuff here is completely resolved, maybe some less.
The pacing isn't bad but it doesn't feel like (idfk fast paced stories) deadbeat noble, and it also isn't periodic in it solves issues as they come along, so ggwp
He's staying
!) true to his charcater, one would stop reading if it were otherwise (typically)
2) in a state of potential to develop, displayed by his acknowledgement of his incapability to fight or hide from the gods, even if masked as foxy planning, followed by humane sulking
3) logically evaluating his options as he understands most of these are matters of life and death (I feel I must emphasize how much of a detriment the sun god's wrath is)
he does all this in a light hearted, comedic way, sure...but I still don't think the relevance of this chapter was too difficult to observe, so I HAVE to be misunderstanding something, like you can't come out of a chapter where mc makes fun of mobs for thinking he's lazy, just to call him lazy in the comments???
Let's reverse the question, what would entail not being lazy here? What do you think he is meant to do in the day time, exclusive of what is mentioned here completely? I admit the writing isn't the greatest, but it's still above average compared to most "trashy isekai", and hits the nail with a "unique" premise. So I see benefit in exploring both his day and night expenditures, as opposed to skipping straight to the action at night time (which would also largely diminish the effect the author has when utilising fight scenes, since we'd have seen him so many times already). It's almost a narrative requirement for this downtime after an arc, a new arc is LITERALLY just starting, your concerns confuse me.
Could also be that this series is alrdy axed and the translations are just slow (?)
Unless you rather a contrived plot for the purpose of filler, or a plot that ends in just 100 chapters without any chance to fully explore character.
I mean we knew he was vulnerable, but now we understand just as sly as he is, he's still human, we see it from himself he acknowledges his weakness and in all his pride ruins his plans, it was a good segment.
Unless you're talking about the apprenticeship thing which is a meaningful way to world build in the future; now we know the generalities on gods and their government of the world, something you wouldn't have been able to guess without any information (specifically because these gods aren't personalised to the world, so assuming churches as an agenda would assume all churches across all dimensions as an agenda).
We also learn exactly to what extent of an anomaly he is, so as to represent something "outwardly" to the point of peaking into the gods' realm, but also in no way being a threat to them. It's important to establish that middleground before he develops, else the transition will seem jarring. There are other ways to display that difference, but that's probably for future chapters/arcs, and is going to add to the lengthiness of the story.
All in all, this was a great intermediary chapter, not every one can be a major plot advancer.
(I may be a little bias as I (albeit binge) read detective conan)
I mean he's cool, they sound like they're hyping him up for romance
ugh
the only issue is replies notif and
and
like limit?
seriously?
humiliating mc it takes away from the flex ;-;-;-;-;--;-;-;-;;
anyways I thought it was because if the true power of the old man returned they would be facing just a rather strong god, nothing too special
I hardly doubt he was scared shitless because of maintenance of public order
more importantly can he please get clothes like I adore the plot and all but having to pose as some random naked guy rubs me off the wrong way (no homo)
I do not like op mc power flexes being misappropriated (it hurts my pride when I self-insert for immersion)
