Hm, yeah, but in that case you assume that people think of a tomboys mind as actually masculine (as in a boy). I digress. Hm, I know I said yeah but I actually totally agree tbh... What I said was kinda lacking, because when I think about it hard it's a definite fact that people are able and do seperate mind and body, it's as easy as asking yourself or a guy, what the actual reason is that being gay is so frowned upon by many. In most cases, if they're honest enough (prolly still depends but Idc), they'd say that it all comes down to the body, as you wouldn't wanna be feeling frisky with someone who has a D.

But in the end the conclusion is still that it would seem "gay" to many. Though I will admit that if someone "magically" changes bodies and stuff to become another gender it would be different than someone undergoing surgery to change gender, some would still say it's gay, while others wouldn't.
Oh and sorry for just going with the term "gay", I also include lesbian in that, but from what I gather more guys dislike the thought of being gay than girls dislike the thought of being lesbian, plus I got no clue what you are, so Imma just be a sexist and go with the masculine term for both :/ (just to make it easier, I swear I actually really nice (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠) )

Yep, definitely, although as I mentioned I don't really read/view genderbender with the same mindset, and didn't really think about the reasons you could read genderbender if one is not too much interested in the changing dynamics and just much rather appreciates the entertainment value, as you described it. We could "argue" over this, but we just got 2 completely different reasons for reading gender bender, as it's the thought fodder that keeps me searching for new and good gender bender stories and it's the entertainment value for you.

I don't really understand the exact term that is "gender bender", I just figured (from community websites etc.) that it's literally just a person switching (if forced/unwilling or not) their gender. Having looked at MAL (myanimelist) (Idk if that's a good source?), the category is sth like "magical sex change", which is what I would refer to as a TS story (even tho TS doesn't necessarily need to be magical). Genderbender is more like changing one's outside persona, as in drag or crossplay and TS is more about what you want to actually be.... Uh... scratch that... I wouldnt call "magical sex change" TS but FF (forced feminization, Idk the opposite term for guys). Yeah tbh I don't really talk to much to people who know their stuff to have learned all these terms, so I just kinda guessed. From what I gather the exact terms are mostly open for interpretation, though it ain't as easy as to say that genderbender dont want to and TS want to.

So I basically get why you think of it as a sadistic form of entertainment, but in that case, it being genderbender is just another tool and not really something that you would be actively searching for, because it's the comedy that does it for you while it's the genderbender tag that does it for me ("does it for me" sounds kinda weird, but you get it).

And I don't gotta be part of LGBT++ (btw where's the Q) to think of it that way, I would say any self respecting genderbender fan would think that way (I'm kidding, I can't speak for that many people)
