This is a little confusing. Is the Martial God a future version of the MC? (the name of the story is The Martial God Who regressed back to level 2 after all)

And if he isn't, but he is from Earth (1 martial God per planet) Why did he let the Earth be destroyed at the start? (was the MC resisting that caused time to be turned back)

This line bugged the crap out of me:
