Hm. So, this Ryo girl knows another otaku and he's probably the minion #1 she mentioned in the previous chapter. Ryo expressed her exasperation with otaku's behavior twice already. So she probably consider that other otaku as a friend.

That, or we're getting a childhood friend story and they both don't recognize each other. The reason I say this is because in the previous chapter, Ryo said that the minion #1 is "probably fish food in the deep sea", so it seems like she didn't had any news from him in a while. If she's gonna be part of the harem, the forgotten childhood friend is the usual cliché to make her catch-up to the two original love interest.
