which means no one gets neglected or left behind like with most series.
The author is very clever and thoughtful.

and they also manage to repeatedly develop and grow their relationships with each other,

And if I were to describe the MC, Rentarou...
Firstly, picture a stereotypical harem protag that's weak, spineless, needlessly perverted, fickle/temptable, puts in minimal effort for what he has, never seems like he earns the company he keeps.

Now picture a harem protag that's the polar opposite.
Determined, fiercely protective, steadfast and loyal, capable of superhuman feats on the daily, and consistently devoted to encouraging his girls and making them feel happy every day (often helping them significantly in terms of their character development or personal circumstances in the process. Unlike typical harems where dull compliments are enough, this protag actually puts in WORK to maintain deeper connections.).

That's our boy, Rentarou. The absolute unit of a boyfriend who completely outshines his competition.
He'll seem pretty ordinary at the start of the story, but you'll see over time that he gets more and more ridiculous, an absolute monster of love.

And by the end of it, you'll almost wish that you could join his harem yourself.
