The problem with Katsuya is that his plan only works when everything goes okay, the second an unexpected variable appeared he was completely unable to answer correctly. I think I wrote a similar comment in the previous episode but the second the girl disobeyed a direct order he should have either ordered her companions to regain control of the vehicle by force or just shoot over her head and hope she survives. A commander who can't adapt to new conditions in the battlefield is useless
