The way the boys speak and react to each other feels like they are a bunch of girls, sorry to say. They use too many words and too few actions.
"Boys don't speak to boys, they just dash each other on the shoulder." - Ice age.
I don't know of a single guy who would say to another: "Thanks for protected me." Maybe, if it was life and death, but not from a fight in a schoolyard. I cringed a little.
Disclaimer: Of course this is my opinion, and I enjoy this manga a great deal. It's without a doubt one of the sweetest the realest romance stories I have ever read, but It would definitely hit even harder, if the boys felt more "boyish". The EXACT same "problem" can be seen in "My Dress-up Darling."
First of all, they are not delinquents in the slightest. Secondly, they have supported each other throughout the whole series, why stop now?
So, I believe you are off the mark here.
I don't know what is more low-fantasy and high class than elves or vampires, but this chapter set the tone quite nicely. Much appreciated!
I had my hopes up because I liked the first chapter, but it's one thing after the other. SO UMBEARABLE! I'll see myself out...
I don't think I'll make it through this one...
