I'm glad he called it a "children's book", because I was going to bitch about how they all looked like teenagers!

Nothing quite triggers me about fantasy stories than when all these mega-OP heroes are absurdly good-looking kids, too young to have any real life experience - let alone being hardened, legendary warriors!


On a plus note: that opening panel was amazing.

Dropped after 55 chapters.

Overly convoluted and drama for what feels like the sake of drama, this is basically a TV series for women in a comic format.
The female lead is gorgeous and there is plenty of meme material here, but, Why I didn't drop this sooner?, is what you'll probably wonder, should you start this yourself.

Don't get me wrong: this has a very unique premise and the characters are all moderately interesting, plus there are a lot of hooks for the curious scattered consistently but, ultimately, it feels like an empty bag, another, Lost (TV series) - one of those, the writer had a great idea but absolutely no clue clue about the ending, so kept dragging it out, teasing the audience whilst hoping to dream up a good solution.

But I've learnt to spot such tricks and get out quickly, rather than being dragged along.
And that's why I made the decision to drop this... though I really should've done so a lot sooner.

It's mildly interesting but it's all so overly fucking convoluted and the drama is clearly chick-lit material.
