I can't reply to the person below but, without mobile phones and life's other distractions, reading and memorising one of only a few books you'll ever see on your life, wouldn't be anywhere near as impossible as it seems.

Okay, I just checked mangaupdates.com and it shows:
63 chapters: 1st series
64-89 chapters (on-going): 2nd series.

So, from what I can tell, this comic is up to date with no parts missing.
That means there's been some seriously shit storytelling.

I remember exactly what happens and why the old man wants the pill... but I really don't remember the relationship he has with Papa Noh.

Thankfully the author learned not to take long, dull detours from the main story, after all the complaints he likely received during, Peerless Dad.

Now murder that rapey "whoreson".

Chibi is an art style. Then again, the adults aren't drawn that way, so I see your point... maybe I should've typed, chibi-esque?
Still, the artwork for this was awful and I won dropped this spiteful mess of a title.

After a brilliant 1st chapter, it turned out to be preachy and kind of crap. Still, it's only 8 chapters, if you do want to try it.

It's really not a valid reason. Not everyone watches anime, and certainly not everyone who reads this would've also seen the cartoons!
At the end of the day, if translating a comic, the dude should translate the comic.Well, that's my opinion, at least.
