Damn. Read one almost the same, but can't remember the name. Thought it was this.
The one i'm looking for, first chapter has MC (one of the losing Heavenly Demon disciples (because he has qi blockage or deviation)), sat in his little hut in the middle of nowhere, minding his own and reading, when a group of people sent by the successful disciple attack and he ends up back in time as himself when he was 7 or something.
Oh well. Will give this a shot and keep looking.

Also, this human age timeframe is fucking with my head.
2000 years ago was probably still in her grandparents / great-grandparents lifetime. So even if they say 2000 years, it's not outside of the term 'recent'.
