Translator, I'm sorry but I believe you are wrong with this. It doesn't have a direct translation, but look up some old movies or TV with Queen Viktoria style characters and you'll get it. At least that's how it was explained to me a long time ago.

In the anime and reading this I thought, Why aren't they saying Demon Lord, all these other things are just indirect ways of saying Demon Lord. Demon seems like it has a different definition than we are used to. I mean in this world some demons are nice and some aren't, kind of like everybody else. So being the demon empress doesn't make her necessarily good or bad, just the ruler of demons.
