Worship most likely strengthens them, you tend to see this a lot in manga, where gods are more powerful the more they are worshiped.
I think the gods will establish worship then wait the op ladies' death and strengthen themselves until humans can't fight back anymore. That's what i would personally do if i were them, it seems like the "gods vs humans" 101, if you've got time on your side take advantage of it.

I get what you're saying and i'd agree but that only applies to webtoon Tessia. Yet. Novel Tessia has had character development only to go back to making dumb decisions. That's my issue with Tessia's character. It doesn't help that her personality is annoying as well, Virion and Alduin were spot on when they called her spoiled on their way to Rinia's place.

Oh yeah i agree the novel characters differ from the webtoon ones.

I just thought it was an interesting comparison since they seem to have balanced the argument a bit with Arthur being a bit more brusque with his language.
But i do hope TurtleMe fixes the issues with Tessia's character even in minor ways though it doesn't seem he will. Honestly quite a few of the story beats later on will be influenced by Tessia making bad decisions or just characters recognizing Tessia's general incompetence and making bad decisions because of it so i don't really see a possible change being made to her character without altering the story. Major spoiler incoming...Seriously, major spoiler don't read if you don't want any details. Reynolds' death happens because Arthur knows damn well Tessia is incapable to properly command a force and deviates from his original position to save her. That, coupled with the fact that he was actually right made me mad but i don't know if they can change it in a way that wouldn't make Arthur dumb.

Yeah, Arthur had a valid point and i'm pretty sure that moment in the novel was the start of Tessia getting hate too because in the novel (and correct me if i'm wrong because it's been a WHILE) Tess was much more vicious and basically didn't make an argument, was raising her voice from the start (basically yelled at the top of her voice and demanded to hold a public funeral and then snapped at Arthur every other line) and was overall pretty childish despite Arthur being more gentle with his words (still tough but less than here). Even later she will basically give him the silent treatment until he comes back nearly dead (seriously Arthur takes Ls back to back before he barely wins his battles, it's insane). She will mature a little bit towards the end of the first part of the war but then will fuck up again majorly, then mature again while arthur is presumed dead (because of her lol) for the umpteenth time, and then fuck up again to an incomparable scale, fuck up that still hasn't been fixed hundreds of chapters later btw. So yeah get used to Tess not being great. Also Tess keeps weighing on Arthur while he does his best to cheer her up constantly, and that's the reason, i think people prefer Caera as a romantic interest since her relationship with Arthur is more balanced...Also because she's a better character
