The real world stuff is stale because it's like a generic power fantasy. MC is overpowered and overconfident, while in the murim world he is the same but gets humbled every other fight. Maybe it will change and the real world will start to get interesting, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Agreed. The murim world is much better, but if I have to suffer though his real world stuff to see the murim world, I'll do it.

The availability is everything. If everyone is crazy then no one is crazy. If everyone has the same cheat ability then is it even a cheat ability? They are sources of a comparable power but they are not the same power. And you don't see everyone running around that world with crazy power. Who have we seen besides a handful of people have the same level of power that MC just got?

Yea? And your point is? Depending on where you are, guns are a dime a dozen while there are only 1(?) Godly dragon in the story. The requirements to get a gun and to beat a dragon are vastly different and the assisibility are also different, if there were millions of dragons around each giving out the same power when defeated, then yea, I could compare them to a gun and say it's not a cheat ability.

That gun thing makes no sense because everyone can do it. It's not a cheat ability if just any rando can just buy a gun and have the same power as you.
Usually a cheat ability is unique or at least extremely hard to obtain that gives you a massive advantage over other people in one way or another. It can be unequivocal power or something with a drawback, it will be called a cheat ability. Using your logic you can say that most abilities in Mang are not cheat ones. I struggle to think of one that would meet your strict criteria.
