Set in a future where humans are not the only beings, there are tensions between two races (humans and demihumans). Humans of an age before created these demihumans as slaves to their society. But then a war broke out and demihumans were freed from their enslavement though still restricted to lead lowly lives.

Canon Passacagilia is an officer of the East Side's Police Bureau's Special Second Division who are in charge of dealing with crimes related to demihumans. She patrols this city's streets helping all she can.

While playing a ritual-like children's game called "Persona", students are knocked unconscious. While asleep, they encounter a man named Philemon who bestows several Personas upon them. When they wake up, the youths discover they can summon Personas.

In front of Mochizuki, a normal high schooler, appears a wounded girl named Mayuki. Mochizuki takes her to his home and finds out that he has gotten himself involved with a war that goes far beyond any human comprehension. One after another, Mochizuki and Mayuki confront girls that bear an unfortunate destiny, to fight to the death. Mayuki and Mochizuki are left with no option left but to fight.... Here, a new storyline is unveiled!
