1) Secret Housemate (Naisho No Doukyonin) by SHIMAKI Ako
Sweet short story of a middle school boy in love with a high school girl. She is meticulous about wanting to know everything about the person she is dating. Her emotion conflict when she meets this middle school boy, who challenges her way of thinking about relationship. The author diligently places the character in a muddled, flustered, and distraught air of insecure emotions. She feels baffled because she can't comprehend why she likes him, even though she knows nothing about him.

It's 1950s Tokyo, and only the Rose Cross Detective Agency dares to tackle cases the police refuse to touch. Enokizu Reijirou is an eccentric private-eye with psychic abilities, while Chuuzenji Akihiko is a surly used book store owner and part-time onmyouji with an encylopaedic knowledge of obscure supernatural trivia. Together with their associates, they seek justice for the victims of various odd crimes.

The title character, Maruko, is a nine-year-old third-grade student. She is lazy, disorganized and usually late for school, in strong contrast with her neat and tidy older sister who must share her room with her. Maruko, like many kids, tries to avoid homework and chores, takes advantage of her doting grandfather and squabbles with her sister. Nevertheless, she is a well-meaning child who tries to do good.

Maruko's real name is Momoko Sakura (さくらももこ Sakura Momoko), the same as the pen-name of her creator Miki Miura 三浦美紀 (who used her own childhood experiences as inspiration). Her nickname "Maruko" is made of marui ("round", because of her round face) and -ko (girl child); the prefix chibi and the suffix -chan also refer to a cute child.

Maruko's trademark face fault in reaction to embarrassment is the sudden appearance of vertical lines on her face, sometimes with an unexplained gust of wind blowing behind her head. This is sometimes mimicked by female fans of the series who draw the fingers of one hand down across the face to show embarrassment. On the internet this is often used as emoticons, by speech marks. For example: -_-"

Other characters include Maruko's classmate and best friend Tama-chan. A fan favorite is Maruko's kind but absent-minded grandfather. Naive and easily tricked, he keeps a pet turtle and loves watching TV with Maruko. When feeling distressed or nostalgic, he spontaneously retreats to a surreal inner world for a few seconds to improvise a sad yet comical haiku about his state of mind.

Won the 13th Kodansha Manga Award for shoujo in 1989 (shared with Shiratori Reiko de Gozaimasu!).

Daimaru, the son of a Buddhist priest, meets Miroku, also son of a Buddhist priest, at a doujou for a 10-day stay to start his priesthood. They promise each other to shave their heads together when they take over their temples.

Ten years later, Daimaru, who has become assistant to the chief priest of their temple, visits a beauty salon to get his head shaved. But there he is shocked to meet Miroku again who has become a hair stylist.

Crossdresser x Crossdresser BL! Plain and shy college-goer Iijima's secret hobby is crossdressing. He gets hired part-time at a crossdressing bar, on the first day on the job he meets another crossdresser — Rina. Rina bears an uncanny resemblance to a popular guy in Iijima's middle school, towards whom the latter harboured unrequited feelings...

A girl named Iwase Maho moves in with a family friend to make the commute to her high school easier, but something is off about her...

LiFang has been traveling alone to find his father's murderer when he picks up a sick and injured man. That aloof man, TuoRen, turns out to be one of the imperial soldiers sent to earth to hunt and capture the Senkaijin rebels. While his comrades work in pairs, TuoRen prefers to be alone. That is, until the strangely powerful human, LiFang, decides to follow him on his quest.
