A collection of stories set amongst the oiran (high-rank courtesans before the time of geisha) in (mostly) the Yoshiwara district of Edo, a famous historical 'red-light district.'

1. Kagerou no Shou
When Kagerou was a child, her parents sold her to be trained as an oiran in Yoshiwara. On her way there, she fell in love with the man who transported her, Ryuuji, and insisted that he be her first sexual customer when she grew up. Now, she is approaching the time when she will lose her virginity, but will Ryuuji be able to be her first?

2. Inazuma no Shou
Wakana works in Yoshiwara, but she plans to one day buy her own way out. She seduces presents out of the men who buy her, in order to save money for her future. But one man, Mitsunori, is not like all the others. Will the skilled seductress Wakana be able to cope with real emotion?

3. Mizu no Tsuki no Shou
Suigetsu is approaching the time when she's meant to lose her virginity. One day, she miraculously meets with a relative who knows her by her real name: Saya. Is it possible for her to be rescued from this life?

4. Nagasaki Bojou
Otaki, an oiran-in-training in Nagasaki, is slated to lose her virginity. However, she's been told she's going to have a Dutch man as a partner! She's frightened of sleeping with a foreigner who may not even speak her language! However, the man in question is nothing like she feared...

The first four stories are about the everyday life of a couple living together with their pets.The first one tells the death of an old dog, hence the title. The last one is a bit similar to a later work of the author, Kamigami no Itadaki.

From Shoujo Crusade: One day, Kirie, the daughter of a count's family, found a beautiful, blue-eyed man collapsed in the street. What's more, when he woke up, he seemed to have lost his memory. But, with his blue eyes and pale skin, could he be the rumored "blood-sucking demon"? Also in the volume is a story called Haraimasu kedo Nani ka?.

Hotel since A.D. 2079:
It’s an updated version of 'Hotel – since 2079' (korean version) with a different ending. A computer continues to live on in order to complete a mission in a world where all life, including Mankind, has gone extinct. This is a record of those 27 million years of its heroic struggle.

Hanako suffers from a terrible disease. After awakening from a deep slumber, Hanako has only three days to live. During those three days, her husband, Takao, must endure a heart-breaking experience, knowing that the person Hanako really loves isn't him.

Stephanos:
Set in modern-day Japan, our main character Noriko finds out that she is pregnant with her lover Matsumura’s baby. He, however, is an important doctor with a family and everything already. Noriko wants to have the baby, but Matsumura says that it’s actually a rapidly growing cancer and that they have to remove it immediately. It might also be neither of these things…

A renowned hatter makes hats for the rich for easy money. Getting a request to make a hat for the king, he sets of with his eccentric apprentice. On the way they crashed and entered the ruins for shelter. However, instead they can't get out of the ruins and in order to exit, he must make hats for the ghost. Can he makes hats that would satisfy the ghost?

Mister Mermaid: On a full moon night, Subaru - a merman - coincidentally saved a man who sank into the ocean. After that, in order to see that man again, Subaru traded off his tail for a pair of legs and came to the surface to find Tatsuki - the man's name. Despite of his throbbing feet and his lost voice, Subaru was happy to be able to stay by Tatsuki's side. However, his happiness soon faded away when he found out the reason why Tatsuki was at the bottom of the ocean that day.

Fuji no Yamai (Undying Illness): Byakuya had an incurable undying illness, which means he couldn't die. Gin, his best friend, made a promise that he would take care of Byakuya until death and the promise had been kept for 16 generations. However, Gin the Sixteenth had no intention of making babies for the next generation; instead, he kept his promise with Byakuya in a way that none of the previous Gins had done.
