4. Kirino Sako to Nakamatachi (story: NIKOHARA Daisuke)

A warrior, plundering the people for money, finds a military dog, a creation with the power of a dog and the intelligence of a human, and takes the dog in as his own and becomes the dog's master.

In this country, there are beings called Sapeles. These beings are not human; they are treated as slaves. Society shuns them, just as they would poor people. Sapele are not allowed to have desires, especially desires for things like love. If they do, they are considered broken, useless. Lepu Le is a Sapele trying to come to terms with himself, not understanding or knowing anything about who he really is, or where he came from. After a fateful encounter with a broken Sapele known as Roie, he starts to question what he is told even more.

Stork, the man with no memories, and Tit, the boy with no home, travel across the grim world where the sky is grey and the birds are believed extinct. They have met accidentally and continued together, both searching. Stork searches for his past and Tit searches for a bird. They are followed by the dark mysterious man, who may have relation to Stork's past.

Chapter 1 is the 100-page title story. It's a supernatural fantasy tale about a man with one chance to escape from death, a mysterious woman he meets, and a tribe seeking to find its way back into Heaven.

Chapter 2 deals with the mystery of a man gone missing, and presumed dead.

Chapter 3 is a very short story about a couple in the mountains who pick up a strange guest.

Chapter 4 is a longer story about the traditions binding a family, those that would break away from them, and the dark secret that holds the family in sway.
