Nemu, a hotaru who has lost her light, makes a contract with an abandoned baby, Haibane. Haibane seeks to find a way to gain back Nemu's light.

Funbari no Uta is a series of short stories written by Hiroyuki Takei relating to his manga series Shaman King. All except one, were reprinted in the original Shaman King manga volume print run.

The chapter numbered Funbari no Uta stories are set seven years later (2007) after the Shaman Tournament, and revolves around Hana Asakura, the son of Yoh and Anna.
