It’s the same as usual; Mikado, Masaomi, and Anri have started their third term at Raira Academy, Simon is handing out flyers for Russia Sushi in the street, and Shizuo is throwing vending machines. At the movie theater on Sunshine 60 Dori, the New Year holiday movie “Bodyguard Case 2: Salaryman Ninja Guy,” staring Hanejima Yuuhei and Hijiribe Ruri, is showing. Due to its popularity, more and more people have started to carry attaché cases similar to the one used in the movie. Meanwhile, Celty is busy running around answering requests for delivery of said attaché cases. And then a sandstorm “mist” starts to repeatedly envelope Ikebukuro, making it so that people cannot even see what’s in front of them. It is in these sudden, localized “mists” that an opportunistic thief appears, targeting the attaché cases…

Yukio lives in an apartment apparently haunted by ghost. It was not suprise when he saw her, Akari, the said ghost. Despite of their differences, they become "boyfriend and girlfriend" and are planning to celebrate their shared birthday at the 29th of February together...

Ever since she was a child, Chika has always dreamed of becoming a mangaka. But in her family, everyone is expected to become a teacher when they grow up. Then one day, she reunites with her childhood friend, Ryou, who also happens to be a mangaka, and is given the opportunity to work part-time with him as his assistant. Has her chance of chasing her dreams finally arrived?

The leading lady here is a girl called Ume-chan, who is suffering from an unrequited crush on a boy in her class. His name is ISEZAKI-kun. He sits directly in front of her, and she spends a lot of her time observing him and writing down her thoughts in a little notebook devoted entirely to him. Ume is fairly comfortable with her situation of loving him from afar (well, from one seat behind). After all, there is no hope for her. Isezaki-kun has a girlfriend who is pretty and nice, and practically perfect. He seems to really like her. So Ume spends her time writing about him instead.

Naturally, this situation can’t last for long, and sure enough, things change when Isezaki forgets his notebook one day, and asks Ume if he can borrow her notes. Ume, totally dazzled that Isezaki actually SPOKE TO HER, hands him her class notes… only to realize she gave him the wrong notebook! Before she can grab the notebook back, Isezaki-kun is reading the notebook about himself. He quickly realizes what it is, and is understandably surprised. Absolutely mortified, Ume grabs the notebook back and runs from the class. Oh no, now everyone will know, now Isezaki knows, oh, what an embarrassing mess!

Surprisingly, Isezaki is actually a nice guy, and he handles learning about Ume’s crush rather well. He isn’t mean or anything. He takes it all with good humor, and even decides to be friends with Ume! But this is sort of pleasure and Pain for Ume. On one hand, she gets to actually speak to him sometimes. On the other, it sucks being close to a guy who you really like, knowing he has a girlfriend. But wait, what’s this? Isezaki has broken up with his girlfriend? can it be true? Or did she break up with him? Does he still love her? Could this be Ume-chan’s big chance? Isezaki knows she likes him, can she convince him to like her back?

With the Meiji Restoration and the abolishment of the Samurai system, the once feared and respected ninja were forced underground, to continue their work in absolute secrecy. In modern times, the descendants of a certain ninja clan have continued their ancestors' legacy by employing the ninja arts in their work as bodyguards for the rich and famous.

Kirio Mikage is the daughter of the CEO of "Shadow Village Company," a private security company that operates as a front for the clan's ninja activities. For as long as she can remember, her father has been training her physically and mentally to be a ninja, drilling their clan's mantra into her head: "Be a shadow." Ever since she was a child, Mikage's only source of comfort and encouragement has been her employer, James G Rod. Rod is a kind, handsome and mysterious British businessman who is using Shadow Village Company's ninjas for his personal security and who, when Mikage was only about 10 years old, requested that she be assigned to complete her apprenticeship as part of his security team. His wife, whom he loved dearly, was Japanese but she and the couple's daughter were killed by Rod's enemies prior to him hiring Shadow Village Company to see to his personal security.

Rod seems to regard Mikage as a stand-in for the daughter he lost, whereas she is half in love with him as the only person who has ever shown her kindness. One day, Rod asks Mikage to let him adopt her and send her to school in Japan like any normal teenage girl, so she can lead a happy life. Mikage is troubled by his offer because of her feelings for him and the fact that the penalty for any ninja who turns their back on the clan is death. But before she can decide, Rod is killed in a bombing. Mikage finds out after his death that, before he was killed, Rod paid Shadow Village Company a sum equal to her entire lifetime's wages in exchange for her freedom from her obligations to the clan. In honor of his memory, Mikage decides to fulfill Rod's wish for her and returns to Japan to attend high school there.

This is the story of ninja Mikage's life as a normal high school girl!
