In 2071, north pole ice have melted and the land has been submerged. Humanity survived but it's divided into two species: the true humans, those who live in underwater cities, and the Dugons, those who chose to undergo genetic modification to live in the sea. Both species go to war to survive as long as the Dugons consider the humans good to eat.
To defend against the Dugons, the city of Mari Ramelle builds a new kind of weapon, the mermaid robot, Salacia. Because of the small size of the the pilot cabin, the robot is piloted by a girl and a boy, both 13 years old: Marin Yuuki and Ushio Mizushiro. The fight for survival is hard, and during the manga, the city builds more mermaid robots.

1) Don't Underestimate Me!
Aisaka tends to get in a lot of fights and Takada is the school playboy. On a chance meeting where Aisaka gets beaten to a pulp, Takada offers to carry his bruised body home. There, Takada makes a deal with Aisaka that if he doesn't fight they'll have a sexual relationship.

Masaru and Sugeru are identical twin brothers. Sugeru tends to enjoy using his brothers name to chase skirts and Masaru is the one who always gets the beatings when people come looking for revenge. 4) Isn't Dreaming A Good Thing?
Tomonaga is forced to go to an all boys school when his mother is fed up with his delinquent ways. He expects an torn down rough school, and instead gets a school sparkling with gay pretty boys. Not that he's happy about it. At least his roommate Natsume is normal... in a sense.

5) Sorry I'm Such A Pathetic Man
Rather than bumming around all summer his mother orders Yoshimura to get a job. He quickly gets one at a barbecue shop under Sakashita whose grandfather is in the hospital. Yoshimura is surprised by how instantly drawn he is to Sakashita and spends a majority of his time at work trying not to give into his new temptations.
