It took me until this chapter to really realize I need to pay attention to their hair to tell them apart. The MC has an M in his bangs, Hayato does not.

Chapters 1-4 were vol 1 and 5-10 were the second and final volume. Might get an extra chapter with the 2nd volume release, but probably not. Short and sweet. Even though chapter 9 seems to only be half the chapter? It was released as 9.1, only had 12 pages, and even the credits page alluded to there being more to it?

They showed it at the start of the last chapter - the elves think that they are the "chosen" ones to take care of the world tree and that they think there can be only one and since they are supposed to take a century to mature they intend to steal the new one s growing at the MC's place.
