yeah because really and truly we probably could just write books ourselves and I'm not sure about you but i don't write books or fanfics with all the stuff I want in them so we can't judge too hard but it's does make it fun to analyze the world they created like in what world is it possible for all this stuff to happen? what historical events or societal views created a world where this FL and ML grew up and made the FL choose the ML out off all the their available options. For example let's imagine it's a mafia fic and for some reason the FL never thinks of going to the police that either means that the police force have quite a few corrupt people which are probably taking bribes from the mafia or due to a lack or funding/training the police are pretty much useless but why would the police force have a lack or funding or training? that could be because it's a LIC(low income country) so not much money to spare or they have a small population and or low crime rate so they reduced funding but if it's training the reason could be that they don't have a good relationship with other countries so they can't get learning materials from there? idk but it's fun too try and figure it out especially when I go through the story and find more information that supports my storyline

Ikr like I remember I saw this one video about it the reason the FL always has no friends is because these relationships literally wouldn't be possible if she had friends like lest be real if you had a friend and she was like " there's this guy I like he is hot super possessive, is involved in illegal activities, rich, stalked me and threatens to kill people who get close to me...what do you think should I go for it?" any person with any inkling of common sense would be like "fuck nooo leave your house, change your name if you have to, stay with me or your parents till you can go somewhere else and all the police!!!" so that's why they nearly always have no friends but they need some balance like you can't spend your entire life being completely dependent of someone else for happiness that is going to be so sad like what if they die or leave you that's when shit gets (more) serious. The same with friends they never have any hobbies except for reading and even with that they never interact with other people like your telling me none of these people post book reviews or talk to people about books in the comment sections of videos? They usually have no support circle of any kind due to the example i made above

but moving on from alphas celebrity fanfics or y/n stories can get wild like some stuff are literal crimes yk things people can get life or like 40 years in jail and they're trying to pass them off as attractive or 'bad boy' or 'just overprotective' when writing ig they are just trying to make use of the phrase 'chill, it's just a story, it not real' but i don't think they realize how people consuming stuff like that can start changing their idea of red flags to orange and so on
