I usually don't say a manhwa is bad and would mostly say mid but this is outright bad and I will state the reasons for saying this:
1. alot of plot holes
2. the mc is genuinely unlikable and when you reach chapter 46 I guarantee you that everyone that read to this point wanted to punch tf out of the main character and wanted the villain to win.
3. the art is not matching the plot well especially the main character look when they said he changed and some people didn't recognise him when nothing changed about his looks at all, not only this the art style is really mid and quite old infact.
4. the mc is actually dumb and you will see many readers saying this because there were many huge problems that could have been avoided with really simple solutions instead he just stood there and did nothing except showing off.
5. the mc is an edge lord and not in the good way but in the worst way possible.
6. the mc is extremely violent for basically no reason.
7. the pacing becomes horrible.
8. most of the time the side characters can't do a single thing without the mc
9. the drama set back was so dumb, forced and could have been easily avoided.
this story is a complete shit show, the only thing that I would say I enjoyed was the personality of the girl with the goth look.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS.
1. He could have spared the "uncle" or the dragon's sworn brother. There was no reason to kill someone who follows the same sword path. The MC already reached the pinnacle of that path in his past life and pursued it as his dream; he could easily have kept him alive and tried to understand why he attacked in the first place. Instead he started showing off for no reason and talked about "honour" like he was a knight, so the MC was the one who escalated everything to oblivion.
2. He claims guilt for not saving the girl, but I don't buy it. He is a hundred years old; even if he spent his life pursuing the pinnacle of the sword, you would expect him to have met opponents in many different situations. Reaching the pinnacle implies a degree of intelligence and enlightenment, so how is he this oblivious to situational awareness? Calling it carelessness doesn't fit a enlightened master even if he is a hermit.
3. He supposedly reached the absolute "pinnacle" of the sword an understanding of its power yet he could not one shot the dragon and needed to mix Tang clan techniques with his swordplay to win. How is that the pinnacle? Even at half peak power a true pinnacle-level swordsman should have handled this more decisively. The word "pinnacle" has so much weight, but the fight did not reflect it.
4. The MC knew he was in the wrong. The dragon kept telling him he had no right to fight, yet the MC never apologized during the entire battle. He escalated the situation and caused a child and the dragon's sworn brother to die. Even if the main character wasn't entirely righteous, the MC's refusal to accept responsibility was horrible and difficult to watch.
Mind you, I usually glaze over most MCs, and I tried hard to rationalize his mindset. I attempted to reconcile his past life's goals and his pride, but the character choices here broke plausibility. If I kept defending him I would be throwing my brain in the trash.
The dragon was far more badass in this fight and he had every right to be angry. From the flashbacks you can tell the dragon was kinder than the MC; he won his people through kindness and genuinely wanted to protect them. The MC, by contrast, won people with violence and even endangered his entire clan just to show off when there were many other ways to stop the "evil sect" from their so called evil ways.
I can tell most readers after this point have already lost interest and are just killing time. It's disappointing; potential wasted truly.

10/10 I never gave this to any manhwa I read but this one deserves it and more.
