So, what the prince did was even worse than what we saw.
Simon is Special Admission number 1, which means that he is expected to be a powerhouse.
By antagonizing him, the prince has now caused friction between an incredible weapon and the royal family.
This could lead to Simon leaving the country and going to another that treat him better, or joining one of the magic towers etc that the royal family doesn't control
