It's simple really.
If you see beauty as what it is-- beauty, then I don't see any reason why people find it alarming. A lot of old peeps say to children "You'll grow handsome/beautiful" all the time.
The problem is people can't differentiate it from lust.
But the main point in the argument in the thread is basically, even if you lusting over a loli character, by the end of the day it is still a drawing and as long as you can distinguish fiction and reality, there's no harm in it. Weird to some, sure. But that's the extent of it.
