It's solid, the new season's art is less consistent though it does have some highlights of you care, apparently the novel is very ahead so if you don't like the new art just read the novel. I'll probably read it eventually but I don't have the time to binge read it rn lol

Yeah if she was beaten and covered in bruises her whole life, no wonder she was bullied about her looks in such a shitty environment and grew an inferiority complex. I do think it would have been more impactful if there was more to her appearance, but this way more readers will sympathize with her so it's just the safe option
