Like yeah I can understand her pain but he's definitely going to kill himself eventually because while her pain is rational in a sense, it presents in an extremely unhinged way. He can't handle it. He can't talk to her about it. She associates him with her pain. There's honestly imho not a lot they can do.

A realistic ending would probably either be him committing suicide or leaving her. The happiest result I could imagine is him finding a way to reconcile with his daughter, not his wife.

His wife may not be fully at fault but my god man, it's clear that there was not much effort on either end to get help and I can't help but think a part of that is because he just feels worthless now.

They might end up making some kind of reveal that he said something TRULY awful beyond the abortion comments, but as far as I can see he's a mild mannered dude that doesn't have the ability to talk back. The perfect example of someone who suffers from domestic violence among men. It's all in the mindset when it comes to male victims because they often aren't the type to push back or have been taught that they must treat women a certain way no matter what.
