The father is like 10 percent as bad as the mother. He's terrible at communication and said a very stupid thing early on in their life together. No doubt about that.

So then the mother decides to create the most astronomically horrible living atmosphere for herself, her child and her husband. She has basically dedicated their marriage to suffering and despair. I'm shocked the kid has any sort of good left in her. The wife needed therapy. She should have either gone for it or divorced him. Hell, he probably should have divorced her, which is the only other mistake he's really made since his fuck up.
