Yuri
At the moment, he has to know he has choices, and so does the confessor, and he doesn't need to fuss over it because he just needs to remind himself logically that the foundation of her feelings is not solid at all, even if her reasonings are acceptable - It could be blown away at any time, just as she has proven in the past.
I can't put the blame on her fully, as her illogical decision to turn him down was impacted by her traumatic experience. Nevertheless, I do not condone it's reasonable then to do or live as she did just because someone has a traumatic background - as the deceased mother has taught: rising up positively is the way.
From my past experience, I have never got back with any girl I had confessed to. I felt the season was over for each of them.
If her penitence remains the same for another 2 years without me giving her any answer, then it's a go or almost a solid relationship because undeniably I myself have been considering her for 2 years together.
Is 2 years too long? Nope. The one at mercy was the one who messed up, and she knew what was highly genuine in the past is what she turned away from immaturely, and now or never is the time she maturely works things out right now on the condition that it matters to her—the strength of the foundation of her feelings. If it's the opposite, she's just an immature dork messing with the guy for the second time.
If he's to constantly worry why and how his woman will react, then he's just needing a form of validation to be happy.
To be fair, it's easier said than done; I was once an immature person too for not understanding the dynamic between man and woman. But life's journey is to make mistakes, learn, and improve.
In conclusion, be kind to yourself, and improve and be a more mature man.
Success is not built overnight. Likewise a person; none is perfect or ever will be in this life. Keep improving on top of learning.
