To be honest, this is my second time reading this. I came across this last year during a major setback in my life. I can't deny this manga work gave me enough hope to get back on my feet.
So, don't reject someone by claiming what she's or he's having is just infatuation, not love. It's true, but untrue too. Can't return your feelings is the best, being honest.
7/10
It takes huge courage to pull off this move.
The most saddening Shojo manga I have read is probably Orange.
Case study here: why Futaba left her boyfriend and returned to the everlasting late Kou, and
TalktotheHand is right to some extent. And Suzume is transparent on that fully—to be honest, teenagers at that age couldn't comprehend what love actually entails.
Suzume couldn't deny the fact that she's growing interested in Mamura. Her point is that she wonders if that could be called a love interest. Then dating and learning what you're looking for in a partner would be the best. But maturity is an important indicator; what you want at that age and what you're looking for when you're an adult could be a different set.
As for us adults, we been through life and I think most agree that we should pick the picture below.
Love, in my opinion, is characterised by constancy, enduring comfort, and bringing out the best in you.
