They seem to refer to the first hero and the fantasy god as the same person here as far as I can tell.
Since they are talking about 1 one minute and the other the next while still referring to a guy who wants the MC to surrender

Well its nice to have confirmation that this is based on a LN, would love to be able to read it since this feels like such a poor adaptation of the work, with so many crucial details clearly missing or glossed over.
