Neither is the chapter advancing this plot...

But there are real wars fought over lack of food in our world too...

The unorthodox bastards never really had much pride and fought dirty to begin with, what's wrong with them starting a war over junk food?

are typos trending these days?

Chage - missing a n
Standed - instead of stood...

This is like that question: What is mightier, the sword or the poison?

A good poison can corrode metal, but would the third son even have access to those acids?

Versus, a sword user who probably can deflect poison with aura?

war flashbacks to all those flashbacks in Naruto...

It's like a portrayal of Korea and Japan, or Allied vs Axis

The heavenly demon cult represents Korea and the orthodox sects represents Japan, during the early 20th century anyways...

Are you insinuating that the Tang fifth son dude is strong enough to drag this out?

Yeah, same here. It's either this, or Greatest Estate Developer or Nano Machine... at the moment. Though I really liked the one about the dark mage who enlisted as a soldier

A good story build up and development has the MC appear at the crucial time.

MC = Nano

You need to read more poetry.

Here are some other examples that align with this concept:

A woman who was raped and had her virginity taken forcibly.
A young girl and a dog that were fused into a chimera.
A young boy who lost his life trying to revive his mother from death, only for his brother to merge his soul into a suit of armor.
Benjamin Button(?)
Catdog(?)
A manga with only words and no pictures.
A novel with only pictures and no words.
A lolicon whose identity has been exposed to the world.

Can you truly say that you are living a shameful life? You might as well better off be dead.

Oh, that reminds me:

Zombies (Are they dead or alive?)

It is a shameful death to lose both arms as a spellsword, you can't even call it a shameful life after patching up your arms after having them cut off like that.

So it isn't grammar mistakes in play here, but just simple prose, a sophisticated and calculative art of poetic writing.

If a man is castrated, would he say he is still living as a man? No. He would say that he has already died the moment he lost his balls(literally).

Well, all things considered, knowing that there are others who are lined up to receive blessings for their loved ones whose lives are at high risk....

It's like a person with terminal cancer and 2 days left to live budding in line when there are hundreds of terminal cancer patients with 2 days left to live....
