You are actually partially correct (on the first part not the electrical socket part), 10m volts is not a lot if you are wanting the electricity to travel any amount of distance (through air specifically) however because you are more than likely going to be using the sword in close quarters combat 10m volts is quite a shocking amount

It is not the same word dude. This isn’t like the difference in spellings between American English and British English, they are quite literally two different words. It also isn’t “pointless rules”, grammar rules are not pointless as they shape the way we talk. If grammar rules did not exist language as a whole would not exist

They are not, “a” is used before a word that does not start with a vowel sound (except u in some cases, e.g. unicorn) whereas “an” is used when a word does start with a vowel sound. I am a native English speaker and I am also African
