You know how this story could've been a peak-y gemerald? OK OK lemme cook:

Scene where the "cool" bitch initially tells Souta (the MC yes I refer to MCs by their actual name I'm based like that) that his ex-gf came onto her goes on as usual and the rest of the first chapter goes the same way it did originally- however, during the scene on the rooftop where she proposes the "date me for a month" thing, Souta ends up snapping from all the repressed anger and starts beating the shit out of her. HOWEVER, in his blind rage he ends up accidentally beating her to DEATH. From there has a whole little breakdown about how he just killed someone, paces back and forth a bit cursing under his breath, maybe puke a little bit. Then he hides her corpse somehow- burying it, dissolving it, whatever. Point is, now he has to hide the truth and keep up a lie that over the course of the story he has to take more and more drastic measures to maintain- originally stuff like just lying a bit at first, then manipulation, then blackmail, then having to kidnap people so they don't tell, eventually culminating in him killing another person and the story concluding by him having a full on mental breakdown and turning himself in, with the moral of the story being to be the bigger person and not letting anger drive you to make a rash decision even if the other person definitely 100% deserved it like "cool" bitch did.

This series would be better if he, like, was actually a normal dude and after leaving Rua got all depressed and realised he had nothing after spending his entire life in her shadow, and then wandered around aimlessly all depressed and ending up getting into a fight with some random dude and discovering he really really likes fighting and going around at night beating up random people while wearing a ski mask and this somehow eventually culminating to him beating the fuck out of Rua on live television, somehow escaping the country and starting a mercenary group in some wartorn country to cure his male loneliness.
