This arc came out of nowhere, I honestly don't care that the Mc failed. I'm upset that this corrupted saintess thing just appeared out of nowhere. This had no foreshadowing or build-up, and that one page about the saintess showing signs of corruption in the last arc doesn't count because it was obvious they added that just so this story development could somehow make sense, and it didn't work because this feels ridiculous. I'm okay with us readers not knowing something that happens, but for this somehow very important plot point with no development or previous mentionings to appear so suddenly just ruins the entire arc. This should've had more development or should've been mentioned at least once for this to make sense.
