I think the one piece verse is ours but more in the future because of when Vegapunk says that there was a lot of countries and then the flood occured and since the flood occured it caused the devil fruits to be made which grants powers which were previously thought to be impossible and the sea took those thoughts and somehow made them into devil fruits because Devil fruits are based on the desires of people who used to live a long time ago and the great flood somehow, like I said earlier, made those devil fruits. I imagine the sea to actually being a living being which denies the fruit users because, like zunesha, regrets making them(the devil fruits)(zunesha's regret to joyboy is still unclear but it may tie into my theory but zunesha might be the sea itself maybe) I believe this is a theory in progress. and will try and finish it.
