so the ending is confusing but I think I might have cracked it (cope) so basically when he ran after handing her to that other dude he didn't confirm if she dies (but what about that rich dudes facial expression we don't care about that) so he went away and time for him starting moving differently and he thought it's been a long time since the girl died (I mean we have seen the dude showing symptoms of not having a straight head) so since he didn't confirm if she died and he just assumed time started moving different (what about the kid..... we don't care bout the kid we only care bout what's important) so now he came back after a long long time (allegedly) he finds the other dude the guard (why's he old? ...... we getting off topic again) he gives him the letter he sees that the fmc is well and they lived happily ever after ◉⁠‿⁠◉
