Maybe. Maybe not. It all depends on how it is written. I think we should appreciate that this was addressed. There are enough Manga where a takeover or how one gets a body isn't explained after all.
The slave condition before being healed reminds me of the "The Apothecary Is Gonna Make This Ragged Elf Happy" by gibagibagiba , that manga was a really nice and very wholesome...
ugh... These translations. 'Regeneration' is most definitely not a higher form of 'heal'. It's a slower heal over time and half the time only effects the user. It doesn't work on clothes which it seems to do here. Also, this world is dark as fuck. There are slaves here and they get treated horribly, the religion hogs all healing. Doctors and potion brewers are all probably tagged heretics as healing is 'goddess's' realm.
That's a problem with personality there, he's insecure as fuck due to being bullied a lot back on earth. But buying a slave was a smarter move than trying for a prostitute.
There's another tale where a boy on the verge of suicide from his depression, lack of confidence, & isolation, managed to get his way into killing thieves, raiding dungeons, buying a slave, then plowing her every single night. Then gained a dwarf waifu to increase that to threesomes.
there was another manga with elf slave and... I so wish her master had regeneration skill.... but she had to recover normally and go thru many many operations... and still she got just one arm and one leg bac so far... well anyway... bak to the story here.... truthfully... not my art style so far D:
