Agreed. The premise is pretty bad on its own. But the execution is really unsatisfying.
The MC can basically be described as an "influencer" who is seemingly underpowered (he's described to be a "normal" human in a world where monsters and superpowers exist) and whose real power-level depends on how well he can entertain his audience -- the more gods who are watching the stronger he is.
That description already sounds horrible on its own. But the majority of the characters, especially the nameless gods, are so obnoxious they make it worse. And the gods are shown to be so incredibly impatient that even when he's just setting down to eat, they send him constant reminders that they're bored. And if they stop watching, he gets weaker. He can't ever take a break. And the novel's pacing reflects that.
It's obnoxious, repetitive, and way too fast paced.
