Truthful_OneActually it's worse than that, she didn't have the animal in a cage the entire time, she allowed it to roam her home and her brother was aware of it, then lied to make up an excuse that it's at the aunt for care because it costs to much money to treat it... yet she tells the brother pretty much order what you want to eat but what you were initially asking for wasn't expensive enough and I'd suggest a pricier restaurant for delivery that I'd pay for. To me as bad as this sounds being the tormentor of the animal start to finish isn't as bad as caring for it then betraying it, I think animals are similar to us if they didn't know us then they don't expect help or mercy, but if we're given the illusion that the other person cares then get setup and betrayed... that's far, far worse than never showing mercy or care.
Minako792In most of those sort of stories the why isn't that complicatedly hidden as in this one tho. Most just either have it answered within their first introduction of the 'og villain' or throw it into the face of the reincarnated person often sooner than later or imply it so heavily that u can find out the reason by simply adding 2 and 2 together, so there simply is no real reason for the MCs to question the 'why'.
