Or if you want to see something similar to urumi in action, the title character in Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones wields a flexible weapon known as the "dagger tail" (but only when he is the dark version of himself). Ivy Valentine also wields a "whip sword/snake sword" that can combine the blades and joints together and be converted into a "solid dagger/blade." I could be wrong, but most likely there are no real life equivalents of Ivy's weapon.
