A one-shot that ran in the May 2016 issue of Harta. It's a story based on Scandinavian folklore.

Young scientists, Raul and Olivier De Laune, are researching the potential of genetic modification and cloning, set against the backdrop of the early 1930s. At a University talk on their research, Raul is accused by a clairvoyant, who tells him he can only clone someone successfully if their soul is transferred also. That night, Olivier is found murdered with no trace of injury or method of death. The clairvoyant tells Raul Olivier’s soul was ripped from his body by some non-human creature. She shows Raul a vision of Olivier, who tells him to find the ‘Blaise twins’. Soon after, larger than life, soul eating wolves begin to appear in the city, killing people by taking their souls. Raul is falsely accused of initiating the wolves and is forced to go on the run from the police. Now its up to Raul, his research assistant, a clairvoyant, two flunky private detectives and a retired chief of police to clear his name, find the Blaise twins, find the cause of the wolves, and most of all, put a stop to them.

In the fifteenth century, when the French and English were at war, there appeared a woman claiming to be a visionary of God. She was Joan of Arc.

The result of this were two changes: the first being the creation of 'Koishigawa Youjoujo' for the people, the second being an inner-city magistrate office, known as the Mushibugyo.

He was scouted out by a representative to join the Mushibugyo and told to go to Edo with the instructions that he'd knew what to do once he got there. Being a warrior, there's no way he could stand this...

Note: "Naki Shoujo no Tame no Pavane" means "Pavane for a Dead Girl" and is a wordplay on the Japanese translation of a solo piano piece, written by French composer Maurice Ravel in 1899, called "Pavane pour une infante défunte" - Naki Ōjo no Tame no Pavane or Pavane for a Dead Princess.

The Onmyou Taisenki manga does not tell the same history as the anime. The story happens years before the events in the anime.

The main character, Yakumo (who also appears on the anime, as a teenager) is the son of Monju, the chef priest of the Taihaku Temple, in Kyoto. Yakumo also trains the In, with a baseball ball. In this temple, a Toujinshi (闘神土, literally 'god of war'), and Monju's former teacher, Mahoroba, is imprisioned.

The problems start when Mahoroba escapes, gains power, and transforms Monju into stone. Yakumo is called by a Zero Drive, which was one of the treasures of the temple. This Zero Drive handles Byakko no Kogenta. The story of the manga is about Yakumo's first steps with a Shikigami, training with Idzuna (Taihaku Temple's shrine maiden) and seeking Mahoroba through various Japanese historical dates. Famous Japanese historical characters such as Oda Nobunaga can be seen on the manga.
