Why would the boots freeze someone else when the sword (melts) heals her? Wouldn't the opposite be that it would burn her? Or if it can't do something negative to her, warm her?

  It's because opposite of freezing yourself is freezing the target, at least I think that's how that works, since healing magic melts her body while the curse on the sword heals her body instead of melting it

  i dont know the opposite of freeze is possible one of three things
  igniting it aflame, accelersting it, vibrating it

Author tipped their hand.

Flum is a demon, the chimera are either her doing or her influence, the Origin Church is likely demon-held, and there's too many yuri undertones for me to be comfortable with the C plot of the maid who is obviously either the Key To Everything™ or the Dark Lord in disguise.

Pulling on Lovecraft-like mechanics like this doesn't sweeten the pot when you know it's being taken so lightly. Eh, we'll see how it goes.

Again, you’re ignoring the obvious. How was he supposed to know it was a mistake to talk to Reina for closure when, before this conversation, all he kept hearing from Natsuki and Reina was that he misunderstood? She didn’t cheat on him. If he would just talk to her, he’d understand. If he did, he’d see what really happened.

If that’s all he kept hearing, how was he supposed to know that seeking closure would just confirm what he already knew? How would he know that? Sure, he could have ignored her, but if the same thing kept happening over and over, eventually, he was going to want closure. That’s a natural reaction, and trying to fault him for that is ridiculous.

I could understand if Yuuta had made a mistake by holding onto hope that they’d get back together, but that wasn’t the case. Remember, he’s the one who broke up with her. He’s the one who ended it. And when Natsuki and Reina kept pushing the idea that she didn’t cheat, he was the one trying to ignore the conversation.

So for them to finally sit down and talk about this, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Any argument that he should have just ignored her doesn’t really make sense at this point. It kept coming up, and she just happened to bump into him on the street. Yeah, he could have walked past her, but Yuuta isn’t the kind of person to be disrespectful like that.

Getting closure and putting it all behind him was probably the only thing he could do in that moment. So, again, I have to disagree with you.
