My guess is because the intended target of the manhwa are young men in their teens, and most manhwa readers are weebs, which are virgins. This makes the MC relatable to them.
You don’t need the text on the screen to realize the mc knows what is going on. Mc Is the one that setup this situation, intentionally. It’s either mc situation is to important for a relationship or said relationship gets used repeatedly as a plot device.
