The worst one among my friends, is my best friend walked in on his "wife" with her affair partner in their bed. She was a few steps ahead of him and when he filed for divorce she called the cops on him claiming abuse so they hit hit with false charges, she then found out she was pregnant and unfortunately for my friend it was within the conception window but the charges she pushed on him made it where he could see the child only in the presence of someone monitoring them both because he wanted to take the kid to get a DNA test but the "mother" wouldn't consent. So for 17 years (it would have been 18+ as he'd be forced to pay her college according to support laws at the time) he paid his cheating ex alimony, child support, her home, the car of the time, half their assets, and would have lost half his retirement too but the "daughter" thought she looked and acted too different from him and got a DNA test on her own. So for less than a two year marriage he paid for a home his ex got ran through by multiple guys and half his wealth supporting a child that wasn't his... and his ex knew about it. There was a time when I worked in/out of the country I was about to do him a favor about the ex if you know what I mean, and at the time the parental fraud laws in Kansas were a sick joke, she had to pay a whopping $500 fine, imagine if it was reversed the outrage women would have if it was possible. I'm a hardcore advocate for DNA test before anyone can sign a birth certificate and evidence for any charge to stick as this would have both protected my friend those 30+ years ago.
