The basic gist of it is that our MC has proof of Roygar trying to get some political leverage by controlling salt stuff from another country, and that's snowballed since Roygar is the current "Best candidate" for the emperor's successor. In order to get Roygar out of that candidate position, MC used Skyla and Ian to put a fire under Roygar's ass by showing that he's technically committing treason by fabricating salt imports in the first place.
And now all the nobles that have ties with Roygar- I believe by being in the same part of the country as him- Are basically panicking because the Majesty's personal organization is basically ransacking them trying to find proof of the treason.
