Right, it's not like the first thing you did when you came back is to meditate thoroughly because you literally need to do that in order to gather qi which is the main determining factor in 'martials'. Technique is the next factor but everywhere, everytime, the amount of qi you got which determines your cultivation stage is the most important thing.
