I have never seen a chapter where I see all characters I hate or are just straight assholes my man's trying to save his friend but they blocking him if anything they should be the one running into that fire

  Its all because of the corrupt elders, didnt expect lightning qi douche to show up though, maybe the whole 5 kings bit is off now that the MC interviened.
  
  Would be interesting if we got some insight into why they originally betrayed the murim alliance if they deviated from that path in this life.

    I have some explanation for the 2 that Mc helped, the book worm and the qi lightning: first the book worm probably never had anyone by his side, which made the book of yin and yang his only hope which made books his only friend, this can be explained by the things that happened around him, but now the reason as to why he betrayed, because he never had friend, family or anyone except books it can be that "someone" or the heavenly demon made a deal with a really powerful book or books or even a library for the bookworm, while the qi lightning guy never had anyone on the same level, if not, higher than him and made him bored of becoming stronger as everything is easy, but maybe because of the heavenly demon, this leads to me theorizing that he (the qi lightning guy) fought the heavenly demon and lost which lead him to follow the heavenly demon, but I don't think this is wrong or right but we will see in future chapters.

      I think you are spot on with the book worm kid, will be interesting to see how things progress with lightning qi bro, either way he just went up a few points of favorability for disposing of that thot.

      my guess about the lightning qi guy you are mostly correct. the bookworm lost his mind with the book and being buillied isolated didnt help either like you said.

      Nah, when MC was fighting Lightning dude, dudes on the roof were discussing how Murim's progress relies on two dudes fighting Down-below.
      MC doesn't want Murim to be destroyed, while Lightning dude believes that Murim has to be destroyed and rebuilt to progress, the other members of the "5 kings" probably believed him.

  If you told someone to set something on fire to hinder someone.... Do you think you, the person you told to start the fire, or your subordinates are just gonna let the person you're supposed to hinder do as he pleases? What if he finds a new book? What if he finds evidence of who set the fire? What if he learns fire resistance? What if he learns a new dance to an old song? "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire" "oh shit, Dan killing it! Let's make him valedictorian! F"CK the five families and the eight power or whatever they're called? They're not relevant...Can they do the burning pavilion shuffle?"

  Nope, but this is a guess, but after the manga ends some arcs, their is a chance that he will get revenge and torture or even end them if they cross him or...them next time. (if you know what I mean then you are one of my people, if not here is a good explanation: after some arcs Mc will get stronger, but not just him but also his friends which leads to him telling them what the council of elders did, and they will help him and will end the rule of the elders and kick the ass of the ass that tried to ass his way through, A.K.A: Do Hoenam.

What did he even do? I'm so confused why did they have to burn the book house down? I get that the sudden appearance of a strong commoner beating a noble agitates them but this is taking it too far, they won't even let him save his friend!

  I'm not even going to explain why they burned the library, since it's all in the previous chapters... I feel like even if I explain this, you won't even bother reading what I say since you probably ignored the hints in the previous chapters....

Actually, it's not natural. Books are terribly hard to burn. Especially packed into shelves like that. They're even denser than the original wood and simply do not burn efficiently at all. So I have several issues with this scene.
1. The fire getting to that size before ANYONE noticed? Puh-lease2. Acting like the books were an accelerant? Puhleeeease (Seriously go grab a phone book and throw it in a fire and it'll just sit there and smolder for days. I once did a property clean out in a very remote area, so EVERYTHING went into a giant, week-long firepit - glass, paper/wood, metal, plastic. This hoarder had like 100 years and 52 states worth of phone books and after a WHOLE WEEK in the fire, basically only the outsides of ones on the top of the pile burned).
